Let's be honest this game is sad. They ruined the game with whatever really poor equation they used to drop loot. Very poor design. The biggest problem is this equation and they need to cbange it. Most other problems stem from this problem.

Exactly the loot drop and reward system is complete shit. And now with latest update loot drops are decreased more than what they are and farming the cave is not going to take more time. The keep making the game worse instead of better. Im ready to just return my copy.

And to think, they actually want you to PAY* for extra content? In the honorable words of some of my male friends... NINJA PLEASE! At BEST, Bungie would do themselves a solid to just GIVE the stuff away. It puzzles me to think that NO ONE on their team saw this game as a goof up when it was in developement. NO ONE! Or perhaps they did and were just told to keep their mouth's shut or go work for Naughty Dog. Hmmmmm, now THAT's an idea. Maybe BUngie should collaborate with ND in the future b/c if this game rolls 10yrs - it's going to be on the back of fanboys - or by way of some MAJOR Overhauling changes.

Exactly. Someone HAD to see how -blam!-ed up it was. I try telling people how screwed the system is but they just say ima crying because i want good shit right away. Its not about that. I played skyrim for over 400 hours i have no issues with grinding it out. But damn, make it worth it. Same mission over and over with no real reward, what is the point. Crucible i have yet to receive something good, but friend of mine joined my game in the final minute and got 2 exotic, 2, wtf. If the fix the balance issue ithe game would be better, not great cause thats more work, but better for now. I know people with over 60 strange coins, I have only gotten maybe 20-25. Thats a huge gap for people playing the same things together. Patch that instead of a cave. If the system worked, no one would have to shoot a cave and farm.

My vote is on changes. It's not like they couldn't have done something smart here. The game has buffs and buff timers on it. Simple way to make the thing work better. If you complete a normal stike +10% chance to look drop for x time. Complete a vanguard strike +10% + 2, 4, 6, or 10% more for the level of the strike. Complete a weekly strike +25% a nightfall +50% +5% for x time if you complete a patrol mission. Then if you don't complete anything for longer than say an hour then someone at the tower calls, says you're letting the people down and you take a -50% to your drop rate until you do something. There, you fix farming to a point. People will still farm but they will do stuff between farming runs. There are ways to fix a game, there are ways to make loot make sense, and bounties make sense. Bungie didn't go for those ways.

I agree with both of you. I just think that the minds that came together to create this game (especially that story *HA HA*), were focused more on things that don't really* matter. It's clear that they wanted this game to be just AWESOME and appealing to the eyes when you play, be it what your Guardian is wearing or how they go to reload their weapons and such. Even how the enemies react to being hit by your weapons seems like they paid close attention to that. But whoever the hell came up with that RANDOM ROULETTE system - that is some SCREWY mathematics going on there. And I've been on BOTH ends of the ridiculousness of their Random loot thingy. I've been in matches where a guy died 14 times but got 1 kill... and his a** got TWO rewards at the end while I got nothing. On that same note, I've been last in the runnings in the crucible - and recieved some decent stuff -

Like I said somewhere else, it shows their lack of experience in this type of game. They looked at CoD and other games, went people keep playing them to get gear, lets make getting gear hard. Okay good idea, we randomize it and people will spend months on the game..... There once was a game company whose owner said. "Anyone that puts a lava level in one of my games is fired." He fired the guy that tested him on that, because those levels are not fun. Destiny's loot system is like playing on a prize grabber machine that is rigged to punch you in the groin at random and throw prizes to kids in the street.
