Lol seriously. I predicted this from the beginning, before alpha. I said if you randomize drops, you are contradicting the very method you claim to pursue. You don't "earn " that which is randomly given to you.

Actually this is just luck, on my hunter I purposely finished last 50 games of control in a row and I noted the items each place received after the game. In 50 games nobody got an exotic, and the only placing to get any legendaries was 3rd place with one heavy and one boot engram For blue distribution it went as follows: 1. 3rd place 2. 1st Place 3. 6th place (me) 4. 5th place 5. 4th place 6. 2nd place So according to my 50 game data point the best place to finish would be third as it was rewarded with the most legendary and blue items, However you'd be better to place last than 2nd. The system is purely random so my 50 game study really means nothing when it comes down to it. However this pisses me off to no end as i believe the person in first should be guaranteed a blue or higher and the only people who get legendaries should be third or higher exotics 2nd or higher. Reward skill in this broken mess of a PvP maybe more people will play it.
-
I'm almost 100% positive we get put into groups, the people who play alot and get nothing, the people that have alot and get nothing, and the people that don't play for 3 days, log in, and get a hawkmoon first match from a crucible game. It happens in alot of "RNG" games
-
Trading would need requirements for it not to be broken. Exotic for an Exotic (Exotics can only be traded once per week). Yadadadada something along those lines.
-
I have to admit, I was against trading. Even through rng I wanted to feel like I was the only one with that particular exotic. But theres no reason not to have trading now. Id trade praxic fire so fast (not a warlock)
-
Yeah whatever bungie did here is messed up... 3.0 an no rewards whatsoever ? Dumb .... They say they listen to the community more than we know.... I guess well see how true that holds up soon
-
Bungie needs to disable the k/d stats at the end of the game and give exotics to all players. That's the gist of what I'm reading in these comments, can't believe people are happy with the game giving rewards for coming last. I bet if the same people who agree with rewards for all have children, they will grow to be determined successful winners.. after you give them a trophy for coming last.
-
Yeah, I'm getting the same vibe. I don't feel like I'm earning anything. My "legend" is bestowed by the good graces of RNGesus, and that's not very brag worthy. When Bungie wanted players to say "Whoah! How'd he get that Exotic?" I'm sure they didn't want the answer to be: "He got it from a random roll after being AFK during an entire Crucible match." GG.
-
Do you not have one? Seriously, most of us have our exotics. Is it really a big deal. This game has a very small amount of loot and isn't hard to obtain any of it. It's almost Xursday too. You guys sound like naggy girlfriends.

Every time I see a post like this I get scared that someone will post a picture about me getting Patience and Time when coming in second to last place

Edited by wymetime: 9/29/2014 5:25:08 PMI think the solution for this is simple. Bottom players on losing team get nothing. Top players on losing team get mediocre gear like rares and a chance at coins/motes. These guys always get something. Bottom players on winning team have the same gear chances as top losers but a slight chance at legs/exotics. Top players on winning team have a shot at anything in the game with better odds at legs/exotics. Everyone on winning team gets something every time they win, even if it's a rare. Maybe even the best player in the game is guaranteed a coin, mote, leg, exotic, or ascendant mat no matter which team he is on. Then the best performer wins every time, win or lose. That would create competition within the competition. Obviously, the chances at a coin or mote would be higher than the other gear, but we all know how useful those can be. That leaves the top players with something to look forward to and compete for, but also gives the bottom players incentive to keep playing at the shot of being on a winning team and getting something good as well. It would also get rid of the AFKers. It's usually the bottom players that make the top players as good as they are. We want to keep them around.

Rekt http://i.imgur.com/YYdLyxq.jpg Jk but still, after all I think RNG is the most fair system

It is getting a bit tiresome. I just wish the RNG gods would throw me a bone once in a while with a purple engram or a good weapon from a strike playlist, or something. I grind strikes and everything and just constantly get a pile of blue garbage I can't do anything with. Today was the perfect example. Log in to run some crucible bounties, I'm not great but I'm not god awful, managed to have a pretty solid game and finished in 2nd, the guy in dead last with a .28 k/d gets Truth. So finish up the bounties and move on to run some strikes on the ROC list. We get the Archon Priest and myself and a fellow clan mate were smashing it since our 3rd guy quit at the start. A 3rd player joins us just as we are finishing up the mobs with the two hydras before the Archon priest. My clan mate and I were both over 100 kills a piece, this kid gets 22 kills in the final part of the strike and dies 7 times because he was trying to melee Aksor...and then he gets a Legendary Ship and No Land Beyond in the strike rewards while we both get 2 blue engrams. Just unreal and this is the crap that is slowly killing my will to play Destiny.
-
Honestly -blam!- the loot system
-
You know notice that in some of these the picture was taken before the loot roll was even finished? They already knew the lowest players were going to get loot. EVERYONE knows that the lowest players will get the loot. Does that sound right to you guys?
-
Trading is what ended up breaking games like borderlands. I have 2 mythoclasts, would LOVE to trade one, but then what would I need to play for? You're supposed to play for the rewards.
-
Yea your dumb
-
Trading is a terrible idea. Stop whining.
-
The one guy that went 4-20 and got gjhallarhorn did it right
ayy lmao
-
I can understand RNG for PVE, but the reason I don't even bother with crucible is because time after time, I outperformed my teammates and ended up with shit. Utter waste of time. Makes it more aggravating than PVP already is
-
Not going to happen
-
Completely agree. If they are going to stick to their terrible RNG system trading needs to be implemented. At least among clans or something. It is idiotic when you run the raid a multitude of time with the same group and one member of your team never get the armor item they need while you and the other raiders get it in droves. Trading NEEDS to be implemented to counter TERRIBLE RNG.
-
They should really make it so if you do good or really good you have the better chance of getting legendaries/exotics. People who do bad should just get engrams. And when people get nothing it's like uh????
-
Bump!
-
This happened to me and my brother the other day, he kept coming in first on the team, and would get maybe some blue gear here and there, a few matches later, I rank first, get absolutely nothing, and he ranked 4th and got a dragons breath. Crucible reward system is so dumb.
-
I'm sure the level 28 that went 30-3 really needed the pair of rare items.
