I totally agree. From my PvP experiences it seems (could just be observation bias though) that fusion rifles take no skill and almost always guarantee a kill. I've only not died from being shot by them like 3 times no matter how far away they are from me when firing. Range needs to impact the amount of damage that these guns do. They are almost always a one-shot kill. That makes playing against them kind of little to no fun because if you get knicked by one you're almost guaranteed to be dead. There is no escape from them. Headshots aside ... the only one-shot weapons there should be (IMHO) are: Sniper rifles at close range (if you can hit someone with a sniper at close range you deserve a one-shot), Shotguns at point-blank range (and I do mean point-blank, right-up-on-them range), rocket launchers where the enemy is within the blast radius (not on the edge of it), fusion rifles at a short-mid to short range, and (of course) Supers. Now, of course, damage of the weapon vs. armor, health and recovery of the armor should factor in so that sometimes one-shots are available just because the gun does more damage than the gear can withstand, but that is not the main point. I have 2 pieces of Legendary gear, the Exotic Lucky Raspberry body piece, and a Rare Helmet (with most of them upgraded nearly all the way) and fusion rifles (no matter which particular one) still kill me with one-shots nearly 95-98% of the time. That says they are OP to me.
