I have no desire to hear random people yelling at me calling me a bad kid. The reason they got rid of chat is because of the hatred that is online. So glad I don't have to mute a whole team anymore.

You've failed to understand that it would be "implemented as an option." It would be disabled by default, so only those who want it enabled would do so.

The party chat option is there. I see no major difference between them. Takes no longer then a second if you got the smart glass app

You're failing to understand the purpose of proximity chat. Players could just come upon each other and begin conversing without having to go to the menu, view their profile, and invite them to a party. It's much simpler and efficient.
