Can you explain how exactly the Unbreakable (force barrier recharge) skill works? Does it stay indefinitely? And do you have to get a melee kill to activate it?

Basically without it, Force Barrier only has until the shield is depleted, with the recharge, it will ( not rapidly, but a good pace ) refill, and do so until the duration of Force barrier times out. Combine this with the gauntlets from Xur, and a Strength / Discipline set, and you're in good business for being tanky.
