I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

Sorry, I have to kindly disagree. I've taken a shotgun to Titans at point-blank range before and not been able to kill them before they off me. Granted I'm not good either, but if Titans were that severely underpowered I'd have no problems killing, dodging, or catching up with them. I'm a Hunter, so I can't say from experience playing as a Titan. However I can definitely say being a squishy character with an abysmal recovery rate has been difficult in the Crucible. It would be different if I was a better shot, I'm sure; however, as it stands now I can hardly get in kills without Assists.

I play a lot of rumble with my striker and shoulder barge is just op. Fist of havoc is great except when the game glitches and it flings a mile away and kills you. You also have the helm of innermost light which is meant for the striker subclass and you're playing defender. The flashbang grenade is perfect for PVP and PVE but I prefer the lightning.

its mostly just skill, i have seen titans wreck in pvp. just practice more
-
You just need to get better. I've wrecked a ton of warlocks and hunters as a lower Lvl titan
-
Its really about how you play, to prove a point i recorded a few games because a lot of people complain about level 20+ being overpowered and about how they have better gear and supers are overpowered ..... on my titan i run the defender subclass and purposely was doing crucible at a lower level to shut people like that up. I am not trying to say i'm the best but simply disprove those crys of this and that being overpowered. On my titan at the time i had mostly greens was level 12 and use the defender sub class with the bubble that protects you. The game i was playing was a rumble on and everyone else was level 22+.

Titans have the worst grenades, jump and worse melee than Warlocks, but I still love mine.

IMO: Titans, especially the Defender Sub-class, work well in team based matches or PvE. I mean a buddy and I steam rolled the entire enemy team one match. He's a Defender and I'm a Striker, backed up by a Bladedancer Hunter. Both Titan had auto-rifles and shottys, we get mobbed, the Defender pops his shield, and we switch to the shottys. If it gets too dicey either the Striker of the Bladedancer triggers their Super, and we keep rolling. All three of us had headsets, which made life pretty easy. TL;DR: Buddy up, Use Headset, Steamroll

I honestly felt the same, getting smeared all over the place and feeling underpowered, until I discovered shoulder charge. Other people already mentioned but seriously it is such a game changer. Now most suckage is just chalked up to the fact that I've never pvp'd before, lol.
-
You shouldn't rely on class abilities as the only means of victory in crucible. You just need a gun. That's not to say class abilities aren't a factor, but they shouldn't be the reason you're losing in the crucible.
-
Ya I'm a hunter and the Titans seem to give me the most problems especially with their brutal melee.
-
Shoulder charge is god. Hunter super is op.
-
You just suck
-
Im a titan and i dominate the crucible. Im usually the top of the team
-
I play a Titan and I think I have a slight advantage look at my stats

If you need practice and you have a 360 play halo reach. Using the tactics in that game allows you to implement similarity into destiny. Crucible takes time to get used to if this is your first bungie game, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.

Everyone always charges B so before you run in it take them out from a distance so you don't get shot gun spammed. People worry to much about capturing zones they do more harm then good. Getting alot of captures means nothing if you can't stay positive. Pay attention to your radar. Sometimes it's better to let a zone go neutral and pick off the people coming instead of trying to capture it so hard. Don't run around with a shot gun everyone I see doing that barely gets a 1.0 from my experience. Idk keep practicing Edit: Protect two zones if you have it don't go for the third unless you're losing one. If you have A/B they will all spawn at C and 90% of the time they will try and get B back.

Shoulder charge is so good

I'm a Titan and I crush in the crucible.

Just find the subclass (or full class) that fits your play style. I use mostly defender for the seeker-double-explosion-'nade-whose-name-I-can't-remember and force shield. Ward of dawn is only really useful in control or as an "Oh -Blam!-" option for not getting killed. I do appreciate the amount of people who think that they can take on Armor of light with a shotgun though...
-
Nope, they are the weakest.
-
It's just you. Titan's are hands down the best Crucible class. Best survivability, best melee advantages, and best Supers in the game. I think Titans need a small nerf actually.
-
All the classes have their advantages and disadvantages in pvp but the titans probably have the worst supers for pvp. Hunter and warlock supers are ranged where as the titan you need to be up in there face. Sometimes I'll go 2 to 3 minutes with my super charges buy I don't run into an opportunity to use it because I can't get close enough.
-
To me it takes a lot of skill to play well as Titan in cruciple.. I have my occasional good match but usually ends badly for me.
-
I've yet to notice any draw backs from playing as a titan, I tend to play more aggressive because Titans are most dangerous up close.
-
Titans can be BA in PvP, a friend of mine was playing with me in PvP and he had a Auto-Rifle and he seemed to be Immortal~ Running through the hallways of Fire Base Delphi completely wiping out everyone in his path occasionally using FoH to vaporize our opponents to charged dust. He scored top by a land slide and got the shader Beowulf. You can be a BA too.
-
You haven't learned how to use it yet obviously. Focus your training on toughness and health. Titans are meant to take just a little more firepower than the hunters and warlocks. The vanilla super is a total overkill if you accidentally run into a large group of enemy players, and the defender super can be used to make a nice choke point.
