Are Titans the weakest in the Crucible, or am I just worse than I think?
I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?

Titans overall probably are the most underpowered in PvP by far, considering the defender subclass. Hunters have it the easiest in crucible.

Yes you are right. I play usually as a Hunter in Crucible. They are much more effective. Both Bladedancer and the Golden Canon. But Titans aren't that bad in Iron Banner. But you have to play either very aggressive (Shotgun, Shouldercharge, The last Word) or very defensive (Defender, good assault rifle (I used the Monarchy Rifle with 22 rounds per mag) and also a shotgun). But it is harder to play them in a good way.

No, but your supers are very defensive, even with headstrong you can get blasted out of supering very easily. I like precision weapons so I roll scout/sniper/hmg and position for good sight lines. Then when angry hunters come a blade prancing or golden gunning they get fisted and I go back to shooting them across the map. People bitch about "fist of panic", it isn't a panic. I've just been saving it to say hello.

I play as a Warlock and get my butt kicked by Titans and Hunters. Their abilities easily outmatch mine. I suspect that even this game, new as it is, has been exploited by smart kids with nothing better to do than look for hacks & cheats. It takes all the fun out of it.

I started as a titan and really only started to enjoy the crucible when I made a warlock and especially when I made a hunter. Hunter especially fits my play style more as I like to sit back a bit rather than run around with shot guns. Also Hunter jump sucks in pve but that triple jump is great in pvp. Also my titan gets the shaft from the spawns.

I used my bubble titan offensively by placing weapons of light and glass helmet to make it last longer. You can place another bubble by the time the first 1 leaves, just mess around with your titan till you get a strategy going that works for you.

I find the titan is the best in the crucible, they are capable of destroying many people in tight situations... try shoulder charging

You really need to max both classes, then it become fun... Also get Helm of Saints 14. It really balances it out.

I have a 31 hunter and lock. But I look at Titans and think they look really fun to use

I really like Titan, maybe it just doesn't suit your playstyle. Some people are just better at some classes than others. Personally, I play very defensively instead of running helter-skelter all over the map, so defender is perfect for me.

Look at my three characters, the K/D's speak for themselves, although titan is the most fun to play on in my opinion

Use defender. Striker is for people without skill. I know, because I have skill, and I end up doing average.

Their panic super nails me all the time and that shoulder charge has had me almost throw my controller. The bubble is an awesome super that if strategically used can give your team a huge advantage. Their grenades can be a huge pain is the ass for me as well. Just keep working and try to learn a playing style that works for you. Remember, there is NO CHEESING IN THE CRUCIBLE!!! People will complain about any load out or strategy that you use that doesn't let them massacre you. Don't listen to all the clucking hens. Play how you enjoy playing.

Edited by D0OM_6-6-6Xx: 1/3/2015 6:05:51 PMI play striker a lot and what I do is equip flash grenades, shock wave super, and the chance for melee to immediately recharge after a hit and give health regen on kill. Make sure you have good agility and discipline (armamentarium is excellent) and you'll see the pvp power of titans. Edited some typos
