Destiny: A Game Divided

I have spent a good 8-10 hours playing Destiny and while that is nowhere near long enough to truly experience this game, its definitely enough to get the feel for it by my reckoning. I have just found myself on Venus after spending a fair amount of time in the recon sections, a little time in the crucible and a lot of time in the main missions exploring every nook and cranny. The game was never just going to be a shooter, nor was it going to be solely an RPG or an MMO. It was always going to be a combination of the above with an added Bungie touch (hell if you get a couple of friends together and pick a start point and an end point you have a better racing game than what's currently on the next-gen. What you instead find yourself with is a game that can truly bring everyone together, if you fancy hunting down that rare weapon you can, if you want to level up in the crucible and show off you can. If all you want to do is explore the landscape at your own leisure, you truly can. No one really knew what to expect with Destiny except to put their expectations high due to the calibre of people making the game itself. I truly believe we have something as new and as special as when Halo first opened up its online world and said 'enjoy'. I look forward to exploring the world with all of you.
