Well, to my own knowledge I thought that Destiny was going to be able to play Offline... Well, after reading a few things that I needed to know, turns out that it is indeed, online only! Son...Of...A...F*****G...B***H!!!!!
As some of you may know, I recently moved before I got married. And my new home has no internet at all. SO yeah, this sucks.
-
like, you'll never have net? did you move to 50 years ago?
-
no internet. I can remember back when I had no internet. I had way more girlfriends back then.
-
It is the sad fact that there are still many rural and new suburban areas in this world without internet. I remember a time when there was NO internet at all. In some ways the world was a better place then. Can't imagine life without it now. VtxR - PS3

Edited by Swart IVXX: 9/6/2014 10:14:31 PMIn the desolate lands of Canada... or at least places that don't have hard wired high speed... you can get a mobile network stick and a compatible router through mobile providers... assuming you have good cell service at home. Check it out My buddy has one and we played Halo 4 together with it. I also played at his house a few time and I didn't notice a huge difference between his service and my high speed cable internet

If noone offers service in you area hughes.net is still an option

Erm... It's always been online...

IDEA: Could you get an internet dongle and plug it into your console? I've never used or seen on myself but they are a thing. It might not be possible but might be worth looking into even if it is a long shot.

That really stinks. Hope you can get internet soon and join us!

*bagpipes play in the background* A guardian has fallen, but we must fight on and fend off the darkness, do in the name of all we have lost along the way.
-
Did you not know that? =/
-
Satellite I Internet, though I don't know if it's worth it.
-
I feel your pain man. I'm in the exact same situation. Cable and DSL both come down the road only to stop somewhere before our house. My workaround is using lte with my cell phone. So far it has worked flawlessly in cod and battlefield and uses minimal amounts of data. I go to the library or to the in laws to download updates and patches.

> Everybody hates Xbox One for proposing a system that requires a check-in every 24 hours. > Everybody rushes off to buy an online only shooter for the PS4. Wat

You have a wife though, something most of the negative nancys here will never achieve. Congrats mate. In the beta you only required ps+/xbl for strikes and pvp, patrol and story missions were available without subscription. Not sure if that relates to Internet access but I hope it works out for you.

Would something like mobile hotspot from Verizon get you internet at home... Not completely sure how those things work
