I find it so interesting how strong of friendships and communal bonds can be made from playing games with friends and strangers alike. I was wondering where everyone's origins came from in terms of gaming. For me, my first game was Altered Beast on the Sega Master system. My dad picked this up for me in the 80s when I was only 4. We kicked ass together and it was pretty graphic for a 4 year old to play. Punching and kicking zombies and beasts that exploded into pieces lol It was rereleased on the Sega Genesis (which I still own). It's still a lot of fun to play today too.
So what is everyone's story here?

Edited by Spartan617 : 8/30/2014 4:36:54 PMEarly 2000's I was to too young to play during the 90's my first console I played was n64 and then I bought a ps1 my first game was hot wheels turbo racing, and my second was tony hawk 2? I think that's what it's called. And my favorite game on the ps1 was spyro that game was amazing! Another great game I loved was spider man 1 on the ps1. I then got a ps2 then a GameCube then eventually my older brother gave me his xbox 360 and I loved it I loved playing halo 3 with my best friends in custom games. I wasn't that good at multiplayer at that time.

Spyro the Dragon on PS1. The first 5 games (1-A Hero's Tail) are still some of the most amazing games of all time.

Also a Star Trek text game that a couple friends wrote on an IBM 3033. Those were the first. Oh and before that it was Lunar Lander on a University mainframe (text again) by POST! Anyone here ever own a Vectrex? I remember really wanting one of those... Asteroids... awesome.
