Man, you need to sharpen you blade. If the blade cannot properly decapitate a frog, its not sharp enough to properly cut the grass. I suggest removing the blade and sharpening the cutting edges and you will probably have cleaner cut and healthier grass. Sounds like your lawnmower is just hacking away with a dull blade.
