People in lame should always have wards to defend against ganks. I'm typically the jungler, so I don't have much warding responsibilities, though, I do usually use my wriggles ward for dragon or for warding their jungle. If I'm getting counter jungled, I'll often ward my own jungle. Gavin, late game, most of us have full builds and cannot have a slot for wards as it would set us back badly. There's always a debate on whether or not supports should take a sixth and final item or keep it for ward slots. It really depends on the game and the judgement of the player. But there's no doubt.
