Hunter gets less recoil on weapons on precision kills through "Gunslinger's Trance."

  • Perhaps faster reloading or a smaller cone of fire while aiming through the scope (If there even is one)? I would suggest less sway while aiming down sights but there is none at the moment. Regardless, it would be suiting to keep the Hunters bonus with the Sniper rifle set, it just seems fitting.

  • Chain of Woe gives you faster reload on precision kills. Class abilities for reference: http://destinytheguide.com/loadouts.html You'll find the abilities I mentioned under Gunslinger.

  • Dang, I wish I had more ideas for the Hunter. There has to be something that can make the Sniper rifle slightly unique to a Hunter. Not necessarily a buff, just a bit of flavor or incentive to use the Sniper rifles, or influence a players decision to select the Hunter as more of a long range class, if that's what they're aiming for.

Bungie designed Destiny to be played the way you want to play it regardless of class. This isn't Borderlands or like any other RPG. Which I like. I don't like being told how I should or shouldn't play. If I want to use a sword on my demon hunter or a crossbow on my crusader, I should be able to, rather than be restricted by my class abilities.

I agree, I just liked the idea of being slightly more proficient with certain weapons depending on the class. Nothing groundbreaking, which is why I thought the recoil could be toned down a sliver on these weapon/class combos. As it is now you don't see many people with 3-burst rifles, and no one ever with Handcannons. I know they nerfed the Auto Rifles a bit but I doubt it will have much baring, if any, on peoples weapon of choice - Auto rifles. This would just incentivize these misfit weapons slightly, if let's say players wanted to try something new, while adding a bit of character to... well... your character. Maybe a fraction of a second faster rate of fire on Scout rifles, for Hunters? Let's say .1-.2 second(s) faster?

Actually it wouldn't. People will always use the best weapons. The reason no one used pulse rifles or handcannons was because they weren't that good compared to auto-rifles and scout rifles. Not because there was or wasnt a reason specific to a class to use them. They aren't misfits. They are just underperformers and nobody needs an underperforming weapon when there's a clearly more proficient and easier alternative right in front of them. Having your method would be detrimental to the experience Bungie has in mind for this game. This isn't your typical RPG. Also freedom of choice far outweighs restricted specialization as players can choose how the want to specialize regardless of their character. I understand the idea you have in mind, but it's not what Bungie has in mind. I am personally against it as it limits you to a specific type of weapon because there is no other choice but the better choice. I don't like saying your idea is bad, but it is. Many RPG developers do this. Of course, we are just talking about Destiny. There are games that let you swap classes as you please and each class is more proficient with certain weapons but can still use all of them. Bravely Default for example lets you do this. And it executes it very well. TL;DR: Bad idea for Destiny. Good idea for some games like Bravely Default for example. Games need to be designed with this in mind, not the other way around.
