  • If I practice basketball against 5th graders, how good do you think I would become? I would be better if I practiced against people my height. It would force me to develop different strategies.

  • It's about who practice against? you sound silly. Rather than use 5th graders why not just hit the court alone take 1000 jumpshots run some suicides practice dribbling w you weak hand. If you put in the time and effort you will improve. Same goes with gaming you get out of it what you put in.

  • Very true, but one can hardly develop advanced strategies when no obstacles are present. This is why experience usually trumps training. Training only accounts for the foreseeable, while experience usually learn from the unforeseeable.
