Because the BR is a piece of shit while the DMR is for those of us that actually like aiming instead of spamming RT until someone dies.

I fondly remember spamming my DMR at every range and getting kills with it.

Sorry, wasn't trying to insult you. Its just every time I even play Halo 4, every single game turns into a BR match of bullets getting spammed everywhere. The DMR you can atleast use at different ranges effectively.

The DMR ruined Halo 4 because it dominates every other gun, and it even rivals the range of the Sniper. It ruins map movement in BTB because of its effective range. The DMR also is too powerful against vehicles and this is easily seen in Reach and the trend continued in Halo 4. The BR never did any of this in Halo 2 and Halo 3. Sure the BR dominated but people were still able to counter it with other weapons. The BR also never ruined map movement in BTB and never rivaled the Sniper Rifle. The BR isn't that great against vehicles either.

The BR -blam!-ing shreds vehicles like paper maché in Halo 4, not to mention the fact that it makes almost anything within a 50 foot range useless. You can't even counter a BR with a DMR because the BR will one shot somebody even with a quarter of a shield left.

Edited by Jono: 8/13/2014 4:12:51 AMIn Halo 4 yes it does because every vehicle is made of cardboard but in previous Halo games it didn't do jack shit for damage against vehicles unless you shoot a Ghost in its gas tank. And I'm for certain that the DMR has a faster kill time than the BR.
