Cause Gamestop can actually guarantee a huge number of preorders. So they get special treatment.
It was even funnier a few years ago when EA was raging against them selling used games but then turning around and offering them exclusive preorder content for selling a new game.

The gamestop exclusive preorder bonus is only exclusive untill 1/1/15

And then you can buy it from the on-line store for a few bucks. Yeah. by that time it's not a sales driving item and just a nice way to rake in some more money from new players.

Edited by Hostile AKs: 8/10/2014 5:30:19 PMIf gamestop didnt get these exclusives there would honestly be No reason to go their. Its inconvenient in today's online marketplace (digital or physical). Gamestop is going to be the new blockbuster once these exclusives all go to amazon and psn/xbox live stores Edit: who cares about gamestop when I can buy directly from the man. Example PlayStation/Microsoft stores. The only advantage is their exclusive they keep grabbing.

Nope. For all the claims that Gamestop will fail. They keep coming out ahead. It will only stop once the Publishers stop looking for guaranteed preorder numbers. For the digital to take off they need to lower the price big time. I'm talking 40 bucks. Not this 60 for it. One place where I think MS really missed setting up the downfall of Gamestop. They had the means with the XBone. But that plane went down in flames.

Yeah xbox had the right idea. But when they accounced it at e3 everyone freaked out. But its funny because now PlayStation is pushing digital exclusive download, basically making it the "best" one to purchase for the price. Honestly like I said I have one main point. The only 2 reasons game stop is open is because pushing the "preorder exclusives", but MOSTLY the underpaid gaming expert kids that work there for probably $7.00 thaT have a passion for games. They should at least get a couple more bucks for keeping the customers coming to the stores instead of just reading reveiws and forums online and purchasing.
