I've never heard of the song "birth of a spartan"
It's one of my favorites now :D
Question for you or anyone who can answer... Can someone clear up the whole ISO and UR didact thing ? I'm just a little unclear about all the details ...

What Roberto said. Only difference is that Ur is a Germanic prefix for "original" and Iso is a chemical term for "equal".

ISO Didact is a former forerunner manipular (12 years old initially) who had the ur didact's consciousness imprinted upon him. This consciousness grew and took over the original, becoming a new Didact (ur means original. ISO means new) ISO Didact lead the forerunners in the originals stead.

So what happened to the ISO didact ?

He left exiled himself along with the surviving Forerunners (a small fleet) and lead them to parts unknown. The Encyclopedia says they left the galaxy but where they are for sure is unknown. He tells Riser that he hopes their descendants, Forerunners and Humans alike, may one day live together in peace.
