A little advice thread for my future.

Option 3

So I'm sure by now, at least some of you know that I'm planning on moving to Germany within the next 2 or slightly more years. And if you wanna tell me "Oh, why would they let you in.", I have all of the fancy citizenship stuff taken care of already. And I already know German, so that won't be a problem either. And all of my plans save for the third involve me going to University in Berlin to get my Bachelors/Masters in Business Management. Anyways, here are the 3 options I have. I'm leaning heavily towards the first one as I want to leave the States as soon as possible. The other 2 are just fallback plans in case I somehow couldn't make it in time. Option 1: Get my AA Degree in Business (at the very end of 2015), and move to Berlin in the start of 2016. Work a job there until October when the University semester would start, and do University there living out of an apartment I'd rent. In this option, I'd already have living experience, so I would have a better ability to handle myself. Option 2: Get my AA Degree in Business (at the very end of 2015), and work in the US until October when the University (Berlin) would start. Working would be for the purpose of stockpiling as much money as possible so I'll have a big reserve. In this option, I'd have tons of money, but having to rent my own apartment, getting a job there, and doing University there would all slap me in the face at once. And I already have quite a bit of money stockpiled. But I'd have even more money to fall back to. Option 3: Get my AA Degree in Business, and then do 4-year university here before moving to Berlin.. And. Well. I see no real benefit to this option. Please don't pick this one. I'm not gonna live here in the long-haul. Unless you can convince me that this could be a remotely decent plan compared to the other two, I'm not gonna take any votes to this one seriously. tl;dr Moving to Germany, vote option 1 or 2. Not 3. EDIT: And please explain why you think the option you voted for would be the best choice for me to act upon.

Finish your AA, continue saving while you begin contacting employers and lining up residence. (Do not make the move until you have these two lined up. Being forced to live in hotels with no additional income will drain your savings quickly). Make sure all your credits will transfer over to the German school. Arrive there a few weeks before class to give you time to adjust.
