If you go USMC infantry is a pretty close knit community, but afterwards options are slightly limited to security, Police, and private contractor type jobs. 02XX field can set you up on a path to the 3 letter agencies like CIA, DOD, FBI and such. My 2 pennies.

That's if they intend on making a career path from military service otherwise they can take the team aspect and use it in many other lines of employment.
