Did Guardians exist before the Ghosts, as in as soon as the Traveler made contact on Earth, or did we only truly exist after it made the Ghosts to seek us out?

We existed in the capacity that we had the [i]potential[/i] to carry the travelers light. Our ghosts fuse our soul with the body and travelers light. (Speculation)

Thanks for your speculation on it! I've always just been curious about that, if there were Guardians fighting in that final battle when the Traveler was injured or does it take a Ghost to awaken the powers of the Traveler's Light, and if a Ghost dies does the Guardian die or will they simply lose their ability to be revived on a whim?
