Although lets remember in Iraq and Afghanistan nobody was fighting for anybodies freedom. Neither country attacked us. Our leaders have admitted that we could of got the Taliban to stop their support for AL-Qaeda by diplomacy. The Taliban never attacked us. Iraq was a threat, although mostly to those oil fields that we didn't want them to get their hands on. I guess every war you fight is for our freedom though, right? I would be more than happy to pickup a gun if the war was just, although anybody who thinks they were fighting for freedom in the last two wars are -blam!-ing retarded!!! 9/11 - 90% of them were born and radicalized in Saudi Arabia, although we couldn't upset the precious king, could we? Even a NY court refused(well the government got involved and refused) to allow us to sue the hell out of them for "diplomacy reasons". How come America needs to fight for their freedom and the majority of Europe don't? Some European countries have way more freedom than Americans, yet some of them didn't travel to Iraq or Afghanistan. Good job drones will be replacing the majority of soldiers. What will happen? You will get laid off. Does the government look after you if you get your legs blown up? not really. You become useless and they give you a tiny check and a wheelchair.

Dunno about you John, but I'm here to play a game. Can we have the poli-sci discussion in the #offtopic forum, please? Not trying to shut you down, this just isn't the place to have this conversation. If we all pull out our soapboxes it here there won't be any room for the keg.

  • I didnt fight for the govt. I fought for my brothers in my platoon and company. I also fought for the Iraqis and Afghanis who have lived under suppression by terrorist groups that kill their own people.

The amount of times the Military promised to protect villagers for allowing them to use their village and then a month later the military leaves and they get slaughtered for being a "traitor". Iraqi's and Afghans? America committed a bunch of war crimes in Iraq. Good job you guys didn't sign up to the international criminal court though, right? Us Brits are getting sued like crazy and needing to pay a bunch of victims "compensation" and we didn't kill half as many civilians. A lot of Iraqi's would probably prefer to be oppressed than to be blown up everyday. We have literally destroyed Iraq. We are now playing games with ISIS because Iraq is allied with Iran and allowing ISIS to weakening it is probably in Americas foreign policy.

  • I cant speak for other villages or branches or countrys that was involves in the ghan and iraq, but the towns we fought in the villagers loved is and helped us out. They appreciated us and we helped them a bunch. I have seen this first hand. I have also went into villages and towns and not a single soul in the place liked us.
