Meh, the game is very much like an MMORPG but It makes me sad to see people already resorting to just farming like crazy. I always think it's more fun for a group of friends to gain the loot/currency/rep by playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. (Via exploration and small side-missions)
I don't dislike players for doing it because in real MMORPGs farming is sometimes incredibly necessary but I don't condone it in Destiny because Destiny is so much better without the farm feat aspect of it.

The system is definitely flawed in that regard. And it does behave almost exactly like the MMO model. Being the Beta, I assume that's why we can barely get any glimmer from actually killing enemies. But when we look at the [??] areas we see that almost every single enemy has a unique name tag (i.e. Hallowed Knight) which means that each will drop glimmer. Hopefully at the max level region in the final release we can switch our focus to killing enemies as a main source for glimmer. Thanks for watching!
