Yeah, basically Grunt skin is like nothing on Earth in how many different states it can have. Which explains why some grunts have an "exoskeleton" and others have toughened skin.
-
Haha I don't mind the new look. So would that mean each past iteration of Grunts are simply different sub-species like the Jackal? Or do you think that's more of a graphical design. Well it's all graphical, but still.

Edited by Lord of Admirals: 7/26/2014 3:19:07 PMNot sub-species. Basically, their intense visual differences arises out of artificial selection by the Covenant combined with their crazy exterior variability. Speaking of which, we now know all the types of Jackals. Skirmishers are from T'Vao. Halo 4 Jackals are from Ibie'sh. Halo CE - Reach are from Rhuut.
-
so...what about those from 2 and 3? jk jk XD
-
Rhuut. Which is what I said. Now, I might be wrong. Even through the Bungie games, the Jackals have different looks. So maybe the Rhuut jackals are only the Halo 3 - Reach.
-
I WAS JOKING. Since CE and reach were both before 2 and 3, someone could say you left those 2 out :P
-
I suspected, but it allowed me to think out loud, so I don't mind.
-
Wow. I really love that. Any word on the Halo 4 Elite differences? Or is that just graphical
-
I'll see if I can get an answer from Catalog. Right now I'm being bothered by the massive facial structure differences. Most notably between H2A and Halo 4.
-
While I'm glad they kept the original design somewhat, I would like some explanations on that one. Mainly Halo 4, because it's pretty different. Haven't spent too much time on H2A though.
