SaO is a not a good show.
Secondarily, why are there these players who feel some connection between Destiny and SaO?

What is wrong with someone taking advantage of prior knowledge? As well, how can you NOT take advantage of prior knowledge? The idea of a Beater is just ridiculous, and was only coined by SAO to fabricate an animosity that really didn't need to be there to make the story "more interesting" which ultimately did nothing to the plot other than the main's stupid speech about how much of a bad guy as to keep everyone off the "beaters" backs which AGAIN did nothing in the story.

Because they just watched SAO when it played on the new toonami a while ago and this is the first beta they've ever been a part of.

You have enlightened me, thank you.

The first half of season 1 was interesting, then the second half got to be all about relationships and got so boring so fast... Hack//Sign however is so much better in that particular genre. Also when he introduced the word "Beater" I laughed way too hard, "Oh I'm a beta tester and a cheater." *everyone looks all pissed off at this* "Haha, I'm a beater." Just made me think of some title for beating off... as it were...

I was enjoying it well enough until the program child started calling kitty toe daddy. The whole elf game part had a "so bad it's good"feel lol

It was the same with Attack on Titan, for me. The concept was interesting, but there were too many time skips, the characters weren't that believable, and the general "over the top" not syncing well with the show's more serious tone. I mean the main character was bordering on "Naruto" kind of believable, and that's not a good thing at all...
