You actually don't have to deactivate anything, you can't deactivate accounts anyway though :), just follow this guide to link everything together! • Ok, so I follow the process but I think I may have done much worse than any good. So I was to unlink google account and swap it out with my facebook account. But, now that I want to link my google to my PSN account, it would not let me . It says that the account is still active and can't be unlink. I already unlinked my google account. Help?

So, you linked a Facebook account to your Gmail account correct? Then you unlinked your Gmail account, you signed into your other account to link your Gmail account, but it says it can't be linked correct? Have you tried a different browser or cleared your cache and cookies first?

  • Yes and yes. I thought for a second I was going to confuse you there. But, yes. All I want is to link my google account to my PSN account and forget about the other account that is linked only with facebook.

  • For the most part, yes. I was using the "shell account" method and I think I got it right. Up until it won't let me link the account I want it to link. And now it's letting me link back to its original account and the only way login to my two separate accounts is one through PSN and the other through Facebook. I only intended to use my Facebook account just as a "shell account." But, I think I made it worse than it is.

Are you signed out of all your Gmail account locations? Also could you close all your browsers and sign out of your accounts. Kinda like a reset.

  • yes I have. Now, I unlink my Facebook account and swapped it out with my Microsoft email account. Now, it doesn't want to link my Gmail or my Facebook account. Does the account get deleted over a certain amount of time like months for example. Or it stays active?

Alright, this is interesting. I'm going to contact a web team member.

  • Please do. I think it's a bug or something that is not letting me link my accounts properly. I wish they can add some sort of deletion for the account or something that Facebook has like the deactivation option. I'm just tried of having two accounts and just want to have only ONE. Thanks for helping me. Let me know if there is anything that can help me with this issue.

I'm sorry this is not going properly, even though it's a weird work around, it usually goes smoother then this. Thanks for your patience though, I'll keep you updated.

  • Thanks for helping me. I appreciate it. And if you can let them know about a "deletion account" idea. I think it would go more smoother for those who are trying to rid of a "second" account.
