While this is a [b]Obvious speculation[/b] piece. The details in this video are quite the argument to say we are dead. i personally buy into the theory that we are vessels of the Travelers Light.

I like it, but I have just one consideration. Let's not use "zombies". Technically, if what you figured out is true, then the Guardians would more closely fit with being reincarnated beings by the Traveler, rather than reanimated corpses. Now, whether or not they have their original body or not, we don't know, but giving them new bodies makes more sense. Maybe the awoken were given new living bodies, but changed in some unknown way by the Traveler, The Exo could be entirely Traveler created mechanical beings that were given living souls(or Light, or whatever). Or maybe they were two other races of beings that were wiped out by the Darkness and resurrected by the Traveler on Earth to serve as Guardians. Either way though, the term "zombie" only loosely fits.
