How long do you think it will take for humanity to find another intelligent species?

I'll give us about another thousand years. If we make it that far of course.

    Assuming they don't find us, there are a few factors to consider (and more I didn't state): When [i]we[/i] get to our space age If technology allows us to make contact [i]before[/i] we find them in person When we start exploring other goldilocks planets When we develop technology to either bend space-time or store ourselves so we can get to said places without generations of inbreeding (not to mention harmful radiation exposure) ... Whenever humanity decides to focus on space exploration seriously... It doesn't look good in terms of time, we're talking thousands of, to at worst, millions of years. And by Drake's equation for other intelligent forms of life, we should already see signs of other civilizations... But we don't, and that's it's own kind of ominous.
