Probably Not Buying The Game

Don't get me wrong, I've always been a Bungie lover since the beginning, but after the beta I will likely not purchase Destiny. There have been a series of mistakes that I believe have been made on the part of Bungie. 1: Selling Halo to 343 I understand 343 made their company because of Halo and everything, but they really took a huge shit on what you made. Halo 3 was a great ending that didn't need fleshing out; it didn't need continuing. I think it would've been fine if you had given the name to them but forbade the use of John. They could've made games like ODST
my favourite halo game
. 2: Delay Delay Delay How long has it been since you started pre-orders? I think it's been nearly two years. That is way too long. I understand you wanted to make everything perfect but that does not justify the wait. You should have not opened pre-orders till alpha was nearly done. 2 Part 2: Delay Disappoint or Inhibit? When you first opened pre-orders, the current gen consoles hadn't come out nor been announced. (XboxOne/PS4) That meant, because eager Bungie fans, like myself, who pre-ordered, would be pre-ordering for the then-current gen. (Xbox360/PS3) You can't just say
Screw You
and only have Destiny on new consoles. From here you're left with a dilemma: Do you inhibit the next gen consoles like Xbox One so that the game is the same as if it were on Xbox 360, or do you make a separate game for each and betray the loyal fans of old who prefer not to upgrade to current gen consoles for any of the many reasons?
If you would release for PC you wouldn't have this problem.

Those who do not understand history are doomed to repeat it.
Remember Destiny if you try to make another game.

 • None of these seem like a plausible reason to not buy the game. I guess it's just all up to the individual though. You have a personal issue with the first point. That, in fact, really has nothing to do with Destiny but your own feelings of being hurt by Bungie for a past mishandling of their franchise. Your second point about delays, well I can't see how someone would be mad that a game they pre-ordered is having all the kinks worked out and plan on bringing the best game they can. Unlike how current companies normally act. Look at the newest Battlefield game and the launch issues that game had. Could it have used another 6 months of development to flesh it out? The additional part 2 really is just a head scratcher. You're upset because the pre-ordering began before the new consoles were announced and then Bungie had to make a decision about how to handle this. You gave two options and Bungie in fact took the better of the two options. They've gone ahead and said all versions of the game are the same game and that you can even bring over all your game history from the old gen to the next gen. TLDR: I just sounds like your angry with Bungie. Everyone can make their own decision to get the game or not. It's sad to see we'll be without one more Guardian in the universe.
