Were I to have a custom avatar, I'd probably go for something more akin to the avatar I submitted for [url=http://halo.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?type=topnews&cid=30705]Bungie All Stars Week 6[/url]. The original idea was to have a Halo-Reachified version of my current Avatar which slowly pulsed from orange-hot to cool and back in an endless glowing loop. Needless to say, the Hylebos from 2011 didn't have the skills to pull something like that off, so he resorted to trying to keep his Spartan as still as possible as he captured in-game footage from theatre. The ultimate result was an avatar that was too jerky and busy, so it's no wonder it didn't get anything more than an honorable mention. Needless to say, I wouldn't do it unless I could do it right, as I'm pretty damn attached to my avatar at this point. Definitely something stationary, probably more akin to the perspective in the 2011 avatar, no background, just the spiker slowly glowing. Not sure how I'd do all that but I'd like to think I'm slightly more resourceful now than I was three years ago.
