A Small Matter Query, No Biggie

It's a small matter I know, but is there any chance of an indicator of a poster's time zone, (maybe on the person's avatar profile pop-out card) coming in a future update?

I always thought it set to your time zone. It's in central time for me, but that could be a default since bungie was founded in Chicago. Wait you're asking for that information for certain users? Nah, that's too personal.

    • That would certainly be nice for helping to plan events, it's difficult to imagine where you'd throw in such a detail, but good idea.

      • The inherent problem with this is that Bungie doesn't know what your timezone is, and that's a good thing. Your browser just transforms a date in a known standard (UTC) into your local time. It is possible for Bungie to collect your timezone (the offset from UTC), but it is not feasible since knowing when a specific user's timezone changes is a problem (when does daylight saving start/end, local time zone laws, physically moving into a different time zone, etc...). A possible solution would be to implement [date] and/or [time] tags so the author of a post could choose a local time and then have it converted to UTC for everyone else to see in their own local time. The only problem is that its use would very likely need to be limited (ie. only 5 tags permitted per post) for performance reasons.
