This is a link to a badly taken photo of a work in progress. As you can see for one thing the head needs work, I've already made some changes there but at this point I can't take a shot of it. Though right now I'd say I might need a bit of verbal help with it. To be added: - a left arm, in a sling. - a finished vest and dress shirt - a desk the figure will be sitting behind - stuff on the desk - a coat rack in the back with what looks like a rater beat up military uniform in the back. - other stuff, not too sure on what exactly.

I suggest learning how to draw figures in dynamic angles. As you can see the line that represents the left side of his body is going straight down, these kinds of lines are rare to nonexistent in a real pose. I think what would look appropriate is if he is leaning forward towards the table you will draw. Before you make him lean be sure to erase the line (That represents the left side of his body), and try to look at the drawing as a whole and imagine where the table should go, and what the shape of the body would look like leaning. (Check out the book "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by Burne Hogarth for references of bodies(Note: Burne Hogarth tends to draw muscles a little bit too large)) be sure to make light marks where the table will be, so you dont forget what you imagined. Also determine the length of any limbs interacting with the table ahead of time, so it will be properly sized. As for the head, I cant help you much there (too damn complex to draw a face, look at references (preferably of other drawings)) but if you are going to make the body lean you will have to move the head down and to the right just a tiny bit. Oh and try to define the jaw line. (DONT draw the jaw line by yourself if you dont know how. you need a reference if you dont want it to take years to finish.)
