Feminists make porn to fight sex objectifying.
"If it's possible to have sex in a feminist way, it's possible to record it in a feminist way," says Pandora Blake, a 29-year-old London-based sex worker, pornographer and porn performer. In recent years, feminist porn producers and performers have settled on a rough agreement on how to shoot pornography that empowers rather than demeans women and depicts authentic female sexuality rather than the presumed fantasies of the stereotypical straight man. "Performers can negotiate what kind of safer sex practices they want to do, whether its dams or condoms or gloves, what kind of sexual activities they're prepared to do, they can choose their scene partners," says Stardust Feminist porn is political - men, women, transgender people, gays, lesbians, self-identified "queer" people, straight people, disabled people, people of colour, fat people - all are filmed on their own terms and express their own sexuality, industry figures say.
Let's be honest here......Porn is porn no matter how you look at it. they are doing the exact thing the porn industry does under the title "Feminism porn" is quite silly. There is porn made for women and porn made for men, some porn caters to both.....hell a lot of girls would rather see 2 girls have sex than 2 men so they are just generalizing men here and blanking out the reality. As for that last part in the quote.....last I checked porn already exists of people in those categories and cross overs, it's nothing new and those "performers" choose what they will and won't do. What do you think?

    • It's a much more complicated issue than anyone here would admit, it's stupid to say porn doesn't have an effect on the way people think, all possible evidence says it does, the question that remains is what the effects are, generally it's attributed to a lack of respect for women because of the way porn is shot. It's shot in such a way that any males in it are basically just props whilst the women are the centerpiece, I doubt anyone here's noticed but have you ever looked at the guys in porn? They're not exactly going to win awards for performance. But see, that's the thing that's the actual problem, men are represented horribly, so much so that guys think it's an appropriate way of acting during sex (If anyone has Netflix, Louis C.K. has a great routine based on this concept) and women are represented as just moaning pleasure devices. I think the issue with the feminist argument is that feminism calls this problem "Patriarchy" as they believe it comes from a male-dominated society, even though they do recognise it's not fair on men either, but really because it's not fair on either sex it's more like anti-humanity, focusing on the worst parts of us and making us feel bad for them, what's even worse is when people bash the concept of porn being anything but perfect for the sake of preserving masculinity or the porn industry, neither's going anywhere, but it's about time we took a look at them and said they need to change.

I dont think they get the point of porn. It's probably one of the most diverse and equal thing in the world. If anything, women are more hailed than men in porn. So really, they should be standing behind porn. But they won't. Cause women are the best people ever and we should just bow down and kiss the dirt they walk on.
oh wait that's called a RELATIONSHIP
• So a bunch of women who don't want to be objectified have decided to objectify themselves to prove a point? What point is that exactly? Porn is porn, if you're starring in porn you are objectifying yourself to being a tool for an individual to masturbate over. Nobody is going to watch this porn and think "Wow, this is revolutionary porn right here. This completely changes my mind about feminism and the hardships women go through on a day to day basis, thank you for teaching me a lesson while I'm doing the pickle tickle." Ugh...I hate them.

            • Isn't that just how sex is? Men are dominant and women are submissive and both of them like it that way. Guys don't like being submissive and girls dont like being dominant. (usually)

There is objectification porn out there because that's what market forces dictate happen. Consumers want to see stuff like that, therefore porn producers provide the service. It's a simple economic transaction that is in no way indicative of an evil patriarchal political conspiracy pulling all the strings behind the scenes. Besides, there isn't just exclusively male dominating female porn out there. Do these feminists not realise there is a niche market for female on male domination/male on male domination etc? Seems like what they're trying to do has already been established bar the politics. Oh yeah, and porn doesn't just solely objectify women. Not sure how to explain this, but the average dude doesn't exactly "measure up" to the standard male porn star.

                • Clearly male porn stars aren't being objectified and that clearly doesn't have an bias on what women consider good performance in bed.

                • What about the fact that many men in the porn industry are in the top 10% of size? If we are gonna get all sensitive then we have to also make sure that every male actor has the average length of 5 and 3/4 inches.

                  • Eh, I could buy into the premise that it is different from typical porn. You are correct, the internet already had pretty much anything you could think of, but a lot of it is a completely unrealistic and unflattering depiction of women. But isn't this pretty much what Suicide Girls was all about, minus all the goth?
