if god's day is 1000 human years, how did plants survive for 1000 years without sunlight? the sun, moon, and stars was created on the 4th day - one "day" after plants were created.

 • You're taking it too literally, we don't know the exact time. And even so he crated light first, regardless of the sun, moon and stars. Even when the Bible says God's day is 1000 years, it doesn't mean exactly a thousand. It's just an expression of quantity.

 •
And even so he crated light first, regardless of the sun, moon and stars.
what was the source of this light if the sun, moon, and stars weren't created until the 4th day?

 • It doesn't specify. But it's possible it was a self sustaining light, not needing a source or boundary until the sun. I think the creator of the universe would be able to make something like that, don't you?

 •
But it's possible it was a self sustaining light
no. light, by definition, needs a source. you can just have a ball of light that is made of...nothing. even the sun is made of something.

 • not at all. according to the book of genesis, plants were created on the third day, and the sun on the fourth day.
