The Devils' Lair: Guardian Down
Here we see the perspective of a downed guardian.
Notice the timer in the lower left corner.
It seems you will automatically revive after about 45 seconds if no one else does it sooner.

I think you get that time to be revived. If not you re-spawn back to the last checkpoint. Its in one of the articles.
