Metro last light was an excellent game. I paid for ranger mode. I'm not proud of it but it magnified the experience of the post-apocalyptic world metro presented. Ranger mode makes the game harder as well and ammo more scarace. It encourages a stealth approach. In fact I was better at ranger mode (Which I was awesome at) than the regular mode. The regular mode does not encourage conservation at first sight, but later you will be screwed over by the bosses. Bad thing about it? Paying for ranger mode *cringe*.
