An amazing video of a restored German Pak 40 anti tank gun, the Pak 40 served as the Wehrmachts primary anti tank gun from 1942 until the end of the war. It had the capability of knocking out most Allied armor at ranges of over a mile, it was rushed into production once the Russian T-34 and KV-1's started to appear early on in Barbarossa and the Wehrmacht realized it needed better weapons to deal with them. The Pak 40 fires a 75mm shell, it could also be used in a indirect fire mode like a true artillery piece, although I am sure this was rare.
So with that out of the way enjoy this beautiful piece of history!

I thought they used the 88mm against Russia's heavy tanks? What was the point of the existence of this weapon when the 88mm Flak served both the anti-tank and anti-aircraft roles well?

The "recoiling breach assembly" was a danger, eh? When firing a handgun, something similar can happen where part of the gun comes sliding back and can skin you hand if you hold it wrong. You can't just pick up a gun and start shooting like an idiot. There are safety precautions that you have to know about. In fact I bet a lot of people posting zombie apocalypse threads don't even know where the button to unload the magazine is located.

Only 80,000 tanks were lost by Russia against Germany.
