Half Life 3: The Unanswered Questions

Half Life 2 and it's episodic add ons left a few questions behind that aren't often discussed. First, I would like to point out that due to it's legendary status, Half Life 3 is just about the furthest thing from #Gaming there is. We've been waiting for ten years. 1. How does Barney fit into the story? He was absent during all of Episode Two. 2. Magnusson mentions a note the database on "Alternate Facilities" during an interaction with Kleiner, which Kleiner dismisses as "Ancient Entries". Knowing Half Life, this is not the case. 3. How does Chell fit into the story? She is running amok (presumably with the Portal gun and the Companion Cube) in the northern US, and is probably just as (if not more) clever than Gordon Freeman. 4. What do the symbols on the Advisor's collar mean? Do they have something to do with their powers, or even present a weakness to be exploited? 5. How does the G-Man fit into Gordon's future? Obviously, we'd all like him to be free, but as he demonstrated during his saving of Alyx Vance, he is very much in control still. 6. Finally, and most obviously, what is on board the Borealis? It is not likely a super weapon, despite what has been suggested, but more in keeping with the gravity of the series, a technological edge, which, with Eli dead, will likely be exploited to... Unforeseen Consequences.
