You would miss out... On taste. Honestly if you're drinking to get drunk you're stupid but ingesting alcohol as a drink for the enjoyment of the taste is fine. I suggest trying it and seeing if you like it but there are lots of different kinds with different tastes

Pretty true. I can't think of any reason offhand why you should drink to get drunk. Drunk people are more likely to get people hurt and if you need to be drunk to have fun I can't imagine you have much character, but I'm sure someone out there defies the rule.

It isn't "pretty true," it's essentially your opinion on the matter. Whatever statistics may show (whether or not they're official, just common sense, or pulled right out of one's own ass), there are no laws that dictate a persons intelligence based on their motives for drinking alcohol. If you're going to judge people on why they drink, especially in such a 'black and white' manner, at least acknowledge the fact that your conclusion is rooted in your own subjective views and beliefs.

Alright then it's rooted my own opinions and beliefs that if you willingly ingest something that is statistically more likely to have you cause damage to you and the people around you, with the purpose of getting to the state where you will be more likely to cause harm, it's being incredibly stupid and irresponsible
