At least it's only $50 and no points on your license. If you really want to get out of it, go to court and tell them to prove it was you driving.

  • Bull fucking shit it is. When I got a redlight ticket, it was 360 dollars and I had to go to traffic school or face points on my license. I could have fought it on the grounds of, "I can't face my accuser" but I didn't. Should have, but didn't. Now California closed that little loophole. No longer a valid excuse.

  • The judge will say that it doesn't matter if it was me driving or not. The fact that it's my car makes me responsible. If I make the excuse that it was a friend or something, he'll just tell me to get the money from my friend then. Although I could go and just try to make up a BS excuse. Last year my dad got a ticket for speeding so he went to court and made up a story about being late for an important doctors appointment and the judge actually reduced the ticket to half.
