This isn't really a website support issue, but I'll try my best to help. Are you sure your router uses a WEP key and not WPA2 or some other type of encryption? Did you try hooking up through Ethernet to see if that works?

  • I wrote the WEP key and have access to the network, but not to the internet... I've also been wanting to hook it up through the Ethernet, but I'm missing a cable and I've been looking for it...

  • I'm assuming your router has a wireless card if you can search for local SSIDs. Sadly, I don't have any experience with Windows 8, so I won't be much help. My only advice is to wipe the drive and put 7 on it. ;)

  • I had 7 on my old laptop, but he died on me... So his replacement is pretty awesome, but its WiFi is my only problem.... For now...
