How did you discover Bungie?

How did you get introduced to Bungies' games, community or even maybe get employed there? I was introduced to Bungie when I heard of Halo 2 being released, I never really got into it though. Halo 3 was the game that got be addicted to the content Bungie releases, in 2008 I joined Bungie.net. I would stay up night and day on the forums, Flood, Bungie, Community, etc. Sadly, after 343 took over Halo and Bungie stopped with tons of content and released a new skin for bungie.net I got distant from it. But once I heard Bungie was back and better than ever, I rushed back into the community. Now I am happily back in the community and rejoicing about Bungie being back. tl;dr: Was introduced by Halo 2/3, stuck with community for a long time.

It all started when I was 5 years old. My dad was into fps games an had been playing Halo combat evolved and then halo 2. One day he let me play. Ever since I've been obsessed with bungie and their games and even gone back to play the old ones. When I was 11 I heard about this website and joined. I am now 15 and still loving the bungie and the community

  • I discovered bungie though a friend. He had halo CE but since I was only a young lad I could never beat the second mission. It was only until I stayed a week at my friends' house that i was able to play through the entire campaign and needless to say, I was blown away. It wasn't until I finally was able to buy my own Xbox and a copy of halo 2 before I fell in love with the series and lore. I played the living shit out of halo 2's story. While I never had online, I was a beast at the multiplayer. I made it my mission to obtain a next gen console when I found out halo 3 was coming to the Xbox 360. I got it for Christmas in 2006 and picked up halo 3 the afternoon it was released. Later that month I was able to get Xbox live and truly appreciate what bungie had truly made and contributed to what Xbox live is today. I applaud you bungie. Keep up the great work and I'll see you again at the launch of the next best game.

  • I first played Halo 3 at a friend's house, and I knew nothing about it. About a year later, my brother's friend brought over his Xbox and Halo 2. All I knew was it's name. That friend of my brothers got a 360, and gave his Xbox to my brother, I then played Halo 2 like there's no tomorrow. One of MY friends got a 360 a few years later, he got 3. Reach came out and he got that. I got my own 360, and got Halo 3 and Reach. My parents made me sell it. My friend got 4. I got a Halo 4 limited console last year. I did research on Bungie, an found that they made more than Halo. I downloaded the open sourced Marathon, Aleph One. Now I think I'm gonna get more of their games like Oni and Myth. I also preordered Destiny, an think it's going to be the best game ever. Me and my friend are also going to work at Bungie in a few years, if they hire us.

  • My first Bungie game was Halo....totally blown away so from then on I had to get every Halo game. As for Bnet I was never really into connecting with the community so I never created an account till a couple of months ago. I'm glad I did since now I can survive till Destiny off of the small drips Deej gives us XD.

    • Never had an Xbox so, I had only gotten a taste of Microsoft whenever I went to a friends house. He showed me this game I never heard of, [b]Halo: Combat Evolved[b] and ever since then I've been a Halo fan.

        • I discovered Bungie around the time Halo 3 came out, but I could only play the first two games very rarely at a friend's house because my parents used to be reluctant to even let me go near T, let alone M games. 2010 was when I really started getting into Bungie.

        • Halo 2- I was like 6. Lurked in the community when I was 8 or 9 during the good old halo 3 days. Lost that account because I lost the password to the email I used... Because I was 9...

An article on Destructoid waaaaay back in 2013. Everything we knew was the grey Fallen with the spider tank. Guardians were even called "Knights" back then. I never had any of Microsoft's consoles, so I've discovered them just recently. Awesome company, though.
In fact I liked more "Knights", but whatever.
