Looks like I'll be doing a research paper on Evangelion

So towards the end of the year in our English class, we have to do a research paper, and it can be on whatever we want it to be on. So I'm doing mine on Evangelion, which if you don't know what that is, is an anime. It's actually very interesting with a deep plot and a shit ton of symbolism, more so religious symbolism, more specifically Christianity. So that's what I'll be doing my paper on - the symbolism of Evangelion. So no, I'm not just doing a research paper on one of my favorite anime's stories, it's about something that I find a bit more interesting. Looks like this gives me an excuse to watch through the original series and the Rebuild series again. Oh 'darn', right? So what are some interesting research papers that you have done before?

Ohohohoho I remember my first research paper/presentation. Boy did that land me in the shit lol. I was in year 8, which is 13 years old ish. In Biology we were asked to create a presentation on a disease or illness to show to the class at the end of the week. Before I go any further, Have you heard of Necrotising Fasciitis? If you haven't, you are a lucky person. If not and you feel like seeing a real life horror movie, google images -> Necrotising Fasciitis. I can't link a picture of it here because I'd get banned for gore, it's a seeeriously -blam!-ed up disease. Now, the simplest description of the disease is basically flesh eating bacterial infection. One of the microbes that can cause it is MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) which is the strain I focused on. My friend and I enjoyed gorey horror films immensely and we found this disease suitably horrific to show to the class :D So there we were, sat at the library computers searching for images of this and I can still picture them all clearly now. They were messed up beyond belief lol. This was in the age before the internet filter was installed in schools (5-6 Years ago ._.) and so we were able to gather about 30 slides worth of stuff that would make your stomach turn. Now the teacher asked to see our work prior to showing it and she was... mortified... to say the least. And she made us remove at least 80% of the pictures before we would be allowed to show it. Which was disappointing, because we put a lot of time and effort into finding stuff that would make the rest of the class scream. So we saved two documents... Necrotising Fasciitis [Original] and Necrotising Fasciitis [Censored]. Then came the day of the presentations and after sitting through 45 minutes of coughs, colds, flu, diabetes and cancer. We were up >:] Needless to say, we loaded up the wrong file and the title picture was one of the worst :[ This got us in a little trouble. Then we quickly closed the powerpoint and opened the other file while the class where Screaming/Retching/Crying. We thought it was hilarious but the teacher wasn't happy. If we weren't model pupils, top of the class, full marks 24/7 yolo etc etc, we'd probably have gotten a detention. Instead we just got told off and that was it. -This has been a 3am post by one tired Mr Psych.-

    • Include the part where Shinji jerks off on Asuka. Let your teacher know what -blam!-ed up stuff you're into.
