What happens to a Panther when it gets hit by a 152mm HE shell...
It isn't pretty.
Once a shell that size with an HE payload hits a tank it does that, and the crew is long dead because of the shockwave/pressure made by it. The Russians nicknamed the ISU-152 (The Russian assault gun that fires that caliber round) the beast killer because of its ability to knock out the big German kitties like the Panther, Tiger and Tiger 2.
