Don't want game

Awaitng f2p

Gonna preface this post by saying I've been stuck in a motel due to snow for a couple days (on top of a lot of driving) so this could just be the cabin fever talking :P Anyways ESO: I think I've possibly maybe have kinda definitely sorta changed my mind and am gonna give it a try. Pretty much a complete 180 for me. Not sure why I've changed my mind. Maybe I hit my head on something recently? Just suddenly thought today "I want to play this game". Don't get me wrong I get that its a blatant cash grab. $60 + $15/month + ingame cash shop + imperial edition Makes it pretty obvious that Zenimax wants all your moneys. I've just been thinking that the main thing that had been turning me off was the pay model, and I'd stopped really considering the actual game. The more gameplay I watch the more I want to play it. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that if its something I'd really enjoy (which is most elder scrolls games), and I can get years of gaming out of it, then $15 a month doesn't seem like that much. Especially if its going towards free dlc / growing the game. Besides I kinda find that preferable to f2p (though still like b2p better). Game launches in April for PC/Mac then in June for consoles. Figure I'll let the PC mustard rice beta test for me and if I hear decent enough things about the finished product I'll give it a run on PS4. Anybody else reconsidering, or have I gone insane?

  • Already pre-ordered the Imperial Edition for my wife and I. Both of us tested in several Betas for ESO. Personally, I have never had an issue with paying for what I enjoy. The new concept of f2p is a drain on people that DO pay for the services rendered. I pay $150/mo for electricity, $950/mo for rent, $350/mo for tv channel and internet, etc... So, people make an issue of paying $15-20/mo for a game they enjoy? That makes no sense. Does anyone think that the people involved create material, patches, run servers, etc for FREE??? No, talent needs to be paid, work needs to be done. Tell you what, next payday anyone who has an issue with paying for a game should tell their boss, "No thanks, boss. My services are free. See you tomorrow." Not Gonna Happen.
