Should spawn-trapping be a viable tactic in Destiny.

In Bungie's previous Halo games, a regular theme, intended or not, was the ability to spawn trap the opposing team. For one I find this a very rewarding experience that shows how much dominance one team has on the match. Do you guys feel it should have a place in Destiny? Obviously it is not something that comes easily, especially in matches where two teams are even skill wise, so it wouldn't be the way to play every game. The way I see it, if you have all the power weapons (or ammo, in Destiny's case), and have all the choke points on the map on lock-down, pushing your advantage and putting the enemy team into a "spawn trap" isn't a bad thing. Some people see it as unsporting, but if you were put into that position more than a bit of bad luck led to the current scenario.

  • If you push a team into being trapped, then back off and give them a chance. Some people say they deserve this because those playing dont work together as a team. That may be so, but some players are solo because they feel being around other players on the map impedes their preferred playstyle. I personally play solo most of the time since I find myself being significantly less effective in a group. Other times people at put into these traps due to unfamiliarity with the game, I.e. maybe they have been playing another game for awhile and are out of practice. But to the point, give them a real chance to fight back and not just some small spawn area where two nades clears them all out.
