Should spawn-trapping be a viable tactic in Destiny.

In Bungie's previous Halo games, a regular theme, intended or not, was the ability to spawn trap the opposing team. For one I find this a very rewarding experience that shows how much dominance one team has on the match. Do you guys feel it should have a place in Destiny? Obviously it is not something that comes easily, especially in matches where two teams are even skill wise, so it wouldn't be the way to play every game. The way I see it, if you have all the power weapons (or ammo, in Destiny's case), and have all the choke points on the map on lock-down, pushing your advantage and putting the enemy team into a "spawn trap" isn't a bad thing. Some people see it as unsporting, but if you were put into that position more than a bit of bad luck led to the current scenario.

  • A person waiting to spawn is not playing. You are basically shooting a non combatant, and calling it skill. Sure it may have taken skill to get the position, but then the other team can't apply their skills, meaning they are no longer capable of playing, meaning the game may as well just end at that point, rather than make one team watch a respawn countdown. Would you rather beat them in head to head combat, or by shooting defenseless stationary targets? Shoot paper targets if you like spawn killing so much.
