"Shakespeare? Plays? SoMething requiring intellimagances? Wot IZ dis bullshizz?"
Rly though, I've been reading a lot of Shakespeare lately and man, for literature outdated as this, it still holds up to this day...
My personal favorite is Julius Caesar, while it looks like a simple story of killing the king, it's actually has a lot of dept and isn't as black and white as it looks...
So, providing your not stupid enough to throw a book the second you pick it up, what's your favorite work of Shakespeares?
-
I find him overrated
-
I'm a big fan of The Tempest
-
Why is everyone picking MacBeth? It was the most uneventful shit ever. War breaks out Witches tell dude he should become king just cuz after war Wife goes evil to make MacBeth king They kill king Duncan kills MacBeth. The story is super predictable if you're from the 2000's. Back then? Not so much.

I like Hamlet. Hamlet is really cool character and I love how no one ever listens to what he actually says so he can make a lot of passing comments that go right over every other characters head. He had a lot of cool soliloquies as well.

I can't remember which one it was I saw but I love all of his comedies.(maybe taming of the shrew)

>implying that MacBeth and Caesar aren't the only good plays Shakespear wrote >implying anybody likes the entirety of Taming of the Shrew and not just the extremely misogynistic bits >implying Othello was a good story >implying Romeo and Juliet wasn't a retarded story about two idiot teens who kill themselves because of their extreme stupidity after a 3 day stalking fest

Julius Caesar. Probably because my strange interest with Roman history.
