ChromeOS unfortunately, does not currently support Java. I see where this can be a "no sell" for certain users even though HTML 5 is becoming the standard :/

  • People who have connection to internet the majority of the time when using a laptop. High School or College students with on campus internet access would benefit the most. Google Docs is very close to Microsoft Office in functionality(and is free). People willing to be "pioneers" in the technology world. Willing to sacrifice some functionality for being an early adopter. I think that Cloud usage as opposed to on sight hard drive storage is the intended purpose. Hence the 3 years of 100gb online storage included. 1TB if you opt for the high end pixel(If you add up the costs of Google Drive online storage, the cost of a Chromebook pixel is exactly the same as the amount of storage it offers). Given the low power requirements of the processes, battery life makes it ideal for those "on the move" in urban areas(again, internet access is good, but not required).
