How was Halo original? Halo was a combination of Tribes and Unreal Tournament, with several lore aspects ripped directly out of Ring World, Alien, and Predator. What Destiny is doing, however, is bringing a ton of features out of RPGs and MMOs that have NEVER BEEN TRIED in a Shooter before, making it the first in it's genre to be the game it's going to be. It's originality comes in it's uniqueness in blending these features, filling an empty space between the Shooter, and MMO genres that's never been filled.
