Enjoying a glass of my homemade pear wine right now and thought I'd see if anyone else out there has tried their hand at making their own beverages. I've found that brewing is stupid easy and wish I had gotten into the hobby sooner than I did.
This pear brandy is good and is ridiculously cheap to make (aside from the starting equipment costs), and I've also made a honey porter beer, which was a bit hoppy but had a nice flavor. I've got four gallons of a raspberry wine fermenting in my closet that I'm pumped about!
If you've tried it, I'd love to hear what you have made. Cheers!

This thread makes me want to get smashed. While I do not brew myself, me and the fam often go to local farm shop to get our apples pressed into juice, and they have a whole barn dedicated to cider and wines, of which many are cool little companies and home brews. I love just wandering around and looking at them all. There's some really unique stuff out there waiting to e drunk.
